“To sing means to use the soul-voice. It means to say on the breath the truth of one’s power and one’s need, to breathe soul over the thing that is ailing or in need of restoration.” - Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estés
Voice lessons are available to those who wish to discover their own distinct voice, develop it, and learn to care for it. Learning and maintaining healthy technique is a lifelong journey; it is my goal to help students use their voices comfortably and with confidence. This includes working on breath connection, even tone production, phrasing, and the formation and placement of vowels and consonants. I am also committed to helping students work toward music literacy, and improve their skills in reading musical notation. All of these tools give the student a foundation upon which they can grow into the musical artist they aspire to be.
All lessons take place in our home studio, Sakonnet Music, in Adamsville, Rhode Island. For more information about our music studio, click here.
